Prelude

foreword

Ok.Finally, I'm going to start saying something on how I feel about our (Malaysia's) motorsports industry. Correct me if I'm wrong, but everyone is entitled to a comment, right? It surely feels like a blessing from Above that I have reached the beautiful world of racing and I would like to thank everyone that played their part in making it happen (You know who you are). So, this blog will be dedicated to motorsports of all class and in the hope of making it a lucrative industry.

Since I'm starting my blog on a quiet Sunday night, almost 24 hours after Manchester United lost it's 2006/2007 FA Cup bid to Chelsea (1-0) while listening to Artic Monkeys (get the new ablum!), I'm going to start it on a positive note, like increasing the volume.

the announcement!

It's true! After major discussions with my manager, we have decided that I will be beginning to race competitively. It's going to be a motorcycle race, a 150cc one make race and I'm expecting to start sometime this year. I've driven karts before, did a test with a Formula Palmer Audi (280cc) single seater but have never got on a racing bike. I'll have to start from sratch, as in get me racing license, bike, suit, helmet, gloves and to actually learn to race a bike.It would be great if anyone of you guys can help me get it cheaper. Thats it. I'm not asking it for free, cheaper will do. Thanks.

the reason

So, why race? Well, Alex Yoong once didn't agree with me once and now we have a very professional relationship. I respect the dude greatly but this then-rookie-reporter now wants to earn his and the nation's respect. Lets also not forget about my encounter with the Motorsports Commission of Malaysia. I might not be able to race alongside Alex or start my own government body but what I can do is put my life in a fair share of danger to prove that I mean business. I should earn my own credibility, right? On the brightside, reporting races will be easier and just like how everyone wants to be an F1 driver, I want to be a F1 writer. So, either way we all gain, aight!

the mission

To help the industry. How? By being another form of media for everyone to get their nitro news, grid gossips and apex analyzed.
